Back pain can affect anyone, at any age, and is often the result of some sort of strain – muscles, ligaments, joints – or damage to the discs between the vertebrae in the spine.
More minor strains often resolve themselves within a few weeks, however, in order to address back pain more quickly or to deal with an on-going issue, osteopathy is a great way to prevent back pain from becoming a chronic, long-term condition.
Through a variety of techniques, Steve aims to understand the root cause of back pain, which might involve treating other areas of the body. Treatment is different for every patient but may include different types of soft tissue massage, muscle stretches and gentle joint movement to release tension, helping to relieve pain, mobilise joints, enhance blood supply to tissues and help the body to heal.
